Skype for Android Update Fixes Issues, Adds 3G Calling

You are in an Android Post

Last week we told you about a vulnerability in the Android client of Skype that allowed other applications running on your smartphone to access data that should have been restricted. The application has now been updated to fix that vulnerability.

The new version, as of today, is number 1.0.0.983 and Android Police's Justin Case, the one discovering the vulnerability in the first place, now confirms that the issue has been fixed. Additionally, there's 3G calling in the U.S. -- finally -- since up until now, except if you were on Verizon, you could only make calls using WiFi. Head over to the Android Market and download the updated version.
