LG Optimus 3D Confirmed for Release on Rogers

Rogers will releasing the very powerful, and very high-end LG Optimus 3D, although it’s unfortunately not clear when the carrier plans to do it exactly. While it only has Android 2.2 on board, we have been assured of a swift upgrade.

It’s unfortunately looking that Rogers is more content on profiting of its existing line up of phones, and would rather not cannibalize its existing lineup by throwing some extremely powerful phones into the mix.

While we wish we could provide you with an exact release date, it is not exactly known. Canada has a well deserved reputation for being behind the rest of the world when it comes to receiving the most advanced mobile tech, much to the chagrin of Canadians.

As for its specs, the LG Optimus 3D has one of the most powerful processors on the market, as demonstrated by the benchmarks above. It will feature a 4.3-inch 3D LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800,a dual-core 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 8 GB internal storage and can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card. Further to this, it comes with two 5 megapixel cameras with autofocus, LED flash and allows you to capture and record 3D videos, 1,500 mAh battery.

Stay tuned! What do you think: Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation, LG Optimus 3D? Tough call.
